The 15 Minute Meeting with Mary Wisniewski Jason Henrichs and Kara Parkey // Cornerstone Hot Takes

Transcript

Hey, it’s Mary again, and we’re here at Fintech Meetup. These two lucky people were just doing some speed dating with fintech companies, presumably. Tell me what happened.

Oh gosh. Okay, well, there’s a room you walk into with 600 tables. Essentially, before this, you got to put parameters around who you’re looking to interact with, who you’re looking to meet with and who’s looking to meet with you.

They’ve got it set up incredibly efficiently. You go in there and have 15-minute meetings, and you have three minutes of transition time before you meet with everybody else. I mean, it’s awesome. Everyone’s in there meeting with different companies, speed dating, if you will.

Yeah. Anything striking that came out of multiple conversations? Not company-specific, but anything you noticed?

Yeah, lots of people. I mean, again, I’m with Axiom, so there were a lot of clients and a lot of prospects that we’re working with. It was nice to get together. I personally love the 15-minute meeting because it makes you get exactly to the point of what you’re trying to get to.

It’s not like, “How was your weekend?” or, “How’s the conference going?” It was like, “We need you guys to work with us on this, and here are the things that we need to execute next.”

Well, I love that you don’t have to break it off and feel rude, where it’s like slowly backing away, “Why are you following me? Why are you following me?”
