Is there more, and maybe this is in the next discussion, but is there more fintech partnering with banks and credit unions as opposed to trying to compete with banks and credit unions, do you think? Or is it still pretty consistent in terms of the mix there?
It’s pretty consistent, but I genuinely think, from what I’m seeing, long term there’s going to be a lot more competition.
A lot of people have been partnering with fintechs or toying around with partnering because they want to figure out how to message, drive demand gen and market in the new digital way. A lot of the fintechs know how to do that.
They’re closer to the businesses or the consumers.
Sure.
They’ve been better listeners in some cases. They’ve been more specialized.
Mm-hmm.
But from what I can tell, most of the banks and credit unions really want to figure out what these people are doing and then do it themselves.
Got it.
And candidly, partnering as a discipline hasn’t been well staffed in banks and credit unions. So I just think the commitment level is pretty light for partnering.
Okay.
And actually, the build option, or the sort of buy or acquire option, that’s a little bit more...
Oh.
