You know, a lot of fintech over the years, and more recently, some of it is frankly, a lot of the pitches have been dreamware, not well thought out. So there’s a lot more focus now, rightly, not necessarily on profitability, but on how will this monetize? How will it actually help a bank help its clients?
Yep, absolutely. I’m definitely seeing a shift away from just sort of basic business model stuff like interchange arbitrage, right? And moving into, okay, specifically, how do you drive loan volume? How do you help a specific industry, with a specific niche, with a specific capability?
So not just generic use cases that would work for potentially any bank, but how does it work for our bank and our fintech or our brand? Do something very, very specific.
And just as a general rule I’m finding out right now, the more specific, the better.
Sure, sure. And I think the other thing I would point to is there is a criminally high number of fintechs out there who put a lot of work into their product and capabilities, and then they just suck at the pitch.
Sure.
It’s not well honed, not well thought out, not beaten up.
Yeah, they can beat them up with third parties like us. The main thing is just thinking through not just the positioning, but the message and practicing it, sprinting through it.
Yeah. I mean, you know, we do all these sprints to deliver code. What about sprints to deliver message as well?
Yeah.
