Earl Donnelly brings over 20 years of financial services experience to his role as Director in Cornerstone Advisors’ Strategy & Execution practice. His career has spanned community and large-scale banking institutions, with deep expertise in small business and commercial lending.
Earl has served in a variety of leadership roles across sales, credit, operations, underwriting, and portfolio management. He has led national lending teams and strategic initiatives across multiple markets and played a key role in product development, regulatory compliance, and merger and acquisition activity. Known for his ability to lead through change, Earl has worked closely with boards and regulators through some of the industry's most dynamic periods.
Before joining Cornerstone, Earl held senior positions at institutions including BB&T (now Truist), where he began his career in the Management Development Program, and later held roles such as Chief Lending Officer, Small Business and CRA Lending Manager, and National Sales Manager.
Earl holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and a Master of Business Administration from Auburn University’s Executive MBA Program.
