He works closely with professional services firms, investors, and venture capitalists to build strategic partnerships that help financial institutions thrive in a rapidly evolving landscape. As a partner liaison for Cornerstone’s marketing efforts, Al draws on his experience rebranding two companies to ensure the firm’s messaging is impactful and resonates with key industry stakeholders.
A frequent public speaker, Al addresses relevant strategic issues affecting executives and boards of directors. His thought leadership is regularly featured in major industry publications like American Banker and The Wall Street Journal. He is also the co-host of Cornerstone's Plugged In podcast, where he shares insights on the latest industry trends and future developments.
Prior to joining Cornerstone, Al was CEO of DirectorCorps, the parent company of Bank Director, a leading resource for bank leaders, and FinXTech, which connects banks with innovative fintech partners. He played a pivotal role in producing Looking Ahead, a digital series developed in collaboration with Nasdaq that explored cross-industry trends and strategic challenges.
Earlier in his career, Al held leadership roles with Board Member, Inc., a company acquired by the New York Stock Exchange, and Computech, a technology firm later acquired by NCI.
Al earned his bachelor's degree in politics from Washington & Lee University, where he was a standout varsity baseball player for four years, and holds an MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.
