Director/Sr. Director – Core System Transformation

We are seeking a Director or Senior Director level candidate to join our Core System Transformation practice which specializes in core, digital, and payments system implementations. Our implementation team members also provide support to our merger integration practice.

Candidate must have at least three years’ experience in one or more of the following; an operations or information technology manager/executive in a bank or credit union, a bank or credit union core or digital consultant, or a core vendor sales executive. Candidates without this experience will not be considered.

You will help develop, sell, and deliver a variety of consulting solutions for bank and credit union clients including core vendor evaluations, process improvements, RFPs, and more. These solutions will help clients achieve their most challenging goals and align their core technology solutions with business needs. This position may reside anywhere in the continental United States and travel can be 40–50% of the time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver Core Evaluation and other consulting solutions to clients independently, as a project manager, and as a subject matter expert
  • Source sales leads and participate as part of sales teams to design and sell Core, Digital and other Cornerstone solutions to clients
  • Maintain deep knowledge of relevant vendor offerings
  • Demonstrate thought leadership through writing, speaking, and social media engagement
  • Manage client relationships
  • Lead and/or contribute to internal Cornerstone projects as assigned
  • Other duties as required and assigned

 

Education and/or Experience

  • Broad knowledge of bank and/or credit union deposit, branch, loan and IT operations
  • Broad knowledge of leading bank and/or credit union vendors and their applications for core, digital, branch, payments, loan origination, financial, risk, etc.
  • One or more of the following:
  • Three or more years of experience serving in an operations or technology manager/executive role with a bank or credit union with at least $500 million in assets (CIO, CTO, COO, Operations Officer, etc.)
  • Bank or credit union core or digital consulting experience
  • Vendor sales experience with bank or credit union core or digital solutions
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher is required

 

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency with entire Microsoft Office Suite is required – Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Proficiency with Internet search processes and research is required
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, nested conditional statements, and lookups) are desirable
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Project is preferred
