Welcome to Credit 2.0 – Consumer Lending After the Great Recession

It used to be so simple most thought. Run a promotion, take an application, grab a FICO score and close that loan. Yet the era of rapid consumer credit growth has resulted in heavy loan losses and marginally priced deals. Banks have to revisit how they look at the consumer lending business and the credit risk analytic requirements to truly succeed in the years ahead. Consumer lending shops are beefing up underwriting and verification processes while pursuing new ways to improve efficiency. The Web and imaging systems are being used to drive streamlined delivery while improved data analytics and risk dashboards are being employed to ensure risk-adjusted profitability. The new-world consumer lending manager has just stepped up to a heightened level of sophistication.

Participants in The Cornerstone Report's Consumer Lending Community will receive key benchmarks around both direct and indirect loan productivity benchmarks. In addition, we will examine how well banks are driving consumer lending business through their branches, call centers and Web channels and what type of credit profile they are pursuing today. We will also provide best practices for both the underwriting and delivery of consumer lending products and discuss how community institutions will compete in the future among the large, national players.

We hope you join us in participating in this industry-leading resource for achieving high performance in your Consumer Lending division.

Below are select metrics that will be collected for the survey and used, upon completion of the study, to benchmark your institution median, 25th percentile and 75th percentile study findings.
