Terry M. Gilbertson

Terry Gilbertson brings to Cornerstone more than 40 years of bank operations, business planning and management consulting expertise. Among his many and varied accomplishments, he served as a consultant and team leader to a $5 billion, multi-state bank directing the consolidation of its five loan operations centers into one processing center, which significantly decreased operating expenses and improved overall efficiencies.
Terry also served as a consultant to a $175 million California bank and guided bank management over a six-year period to total assets of more than $1.3 billion. Through his guidance in strategic planning and organizational and operational advice, the bank successfully executed merger integrations, de novo start-ups and continuous organizational and operational realignment and process improvement. During this time of rapid growth, the bank maintained an ROE above peer group levels.
Terry has assisted more than 150 banks nationwide with organizational and operational efficiencies, profit enhancement strategies and solutions, branch integration and business/strategic planning. In addition to his consulting experience, Terry has had hands-on banking experience in Deposit Operations, IT, Retail Operations and Commercial Loan Operations and Lending. He served as Director of Operations & Human Resources at a Midwestern bank and as Manager – Credit Analysis and Vice President – Commercial Loans at a large regional bank.
Terry holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting from the University of Texas, Arlington.
