Michael Besselievre

As a Senior Director at Cornerstone Advisors, Michael Besselievre leverages 18 years of industry operations and technology expertise across a number of areas, including the Technology Services, System Selection, Conversion Services and Risk Management practices.
Before joining Cornerstone, Michael was Managing Director of Strategic Services for an independent consultancy. Prior to that, he held executive level technology positions over 15 years with a number of Washington State and California banks. Michael’s knowledge, capabilities and passion for continuous improvement have yielded significant efficiency and revenue enhancements for numerous financial institutions. His broad background includes expertise in a variety of areas, including: technology, deposit operations, consumer/commercial online banking, check/image processing, EFT/ATM, merchant card processing, remittance processing, change management, program/project management, core/ancillary system conversions, process improvement, deposit product development, IT security/risk, organizational leadership, enterprise continuity/disaster planning and business intelligence.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Chapman University in Orange, Calif., and a CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control) certification from ISACA. He is a graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School’s Graduate School of Banking and Alumni Leadership Program and has served for seven years as a Management Report Advisor/Grader for the school. Michael has served since 2009 on the Board of Directors for Easter Seals of Northern California.
