Mark Carron has to his credit a long history of building and motivating technical and non-technical teams to exceed organizational objectives with a focus on strategizing ways to reduce the institution's operating expenses while increasing non-interest fee income. He specializes in assessing needs and developing innovative strategies and solutions that ensure client satisfaction, increase market share and leverage operational efficiencies to boost bottom line.
Mark organized and founded the de novo Bank of Cape Cod. He established the bank's retail (main) office as well as all operation, electronic banking, IT and retail deposit gather functions. He built an automation system, including electronic banking, bill payment, voice over IP, document imaging, Check 21 and client remote capture, and worked with bank regulators to build a solid regulatory foundation.
Prior to the Bank of Cape Cod, Mark was responsible for oversight of a $1.2 billion bank's deposit and loan operations, information technology, call center, help desk, electronic banking and 39 facilities. While administering an annual $9 million operating budget, Mark formulated corporate strategy and policy and advised on operational issues and industry trends to the bank's CEO, directors and senior management committee. He significantly contributed to staff development, customer satisfaction and bottom line by spearheading automation of the company's internal operating systems. He oversaw the bank's security and fraud losses and was a member of the senior management and risk management committees.
